Who we are
This website is operated by AIOBC Technologies Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17321521), registered office: 1 Mascot Square, Colchester, England, CO4 3GA. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Questions about this policy or your data: consulting@aiobc.tech.
What we collect
- Details you give us. When you use the “Start a project” form we collect your name, business email, company (optional), your message (optional), and your answers to the four questions about what you'd like to automate.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include.
- Analytics — only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. If you decline, no analytics are collected.
How we use it, and why
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call — our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To improve the website using aggregated analytics — our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep records where we are legally required to.
We don't use your information for automated decision-making, and we don't add you to marketing lists without asking.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives form submissions.
- Google — Google Analytics (only if you consent), and our business email.
- Calendly — if you choose to book a call, Calendly handles your booking details under its own privacy policy.
We never sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as the contract requires and for the period the law requires afterwards. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email consulting@aiobc.tech — we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
